Bike Mechanic... I've decided to try working as a bike mechanic from home. I love working on bikes and I need some extra cash to justify recent and future bike purchases to Michelle.
I've worked in bike shops before and I can do everything they can with very few exceptions.
I'll list what I can't do:
Anything with suspension or hydraulic brakes.
I don't have headset press, so I can't pull or install threaded or threadless headsets. I'm all over the integrated ones though.
Anything requiring welding or heavy machinery.
Besides that, I'm in. I don't expect that much business, so turnaround time will be faster than most shops. I've built my last 3 bikes, and my last wheelset. Regardless of price, I'd trust myself with my bike stuff before trusting anyone else.
Let me know what you think,
B.
