triple on a TT frame? huh?

kilgore- 11-19-2007

If you put a triple on a tt bike not only am I going to kick you off the team, I don't care if I'm not the team director and haven't been for years but I'm also going to kill you, probably with the triple crankset. What chain rings would you run? Like 55, 53 and 46? Why wasn't I consulted on this decision? What the hell is going on with this world? A triple? Really? You can have the one off Ivy's bike as she said she just doesn't see the point to the third ring now that she's almost 1. Seriously? A triple? Really?

1.Doug Manno says work smarter not harder!!!! 2.The gearing I can get on a triple will make me that much stronger and save my legs (save my matches, your matchbook analogy)!!! 3.The 105 triple is a glossy dark and matches my 2006 kit better. 4.The triple is for my crosscheck so I ride to and from the grocery store with panniers. The TT parts are for my donated TT frame.

In a TT you ride as fast and as hard as possible, that's smart. You only have one match in a TT and it burns the whole time. You should be able to spin a 53+ in a TT. In a TT you should be going so fast that mismatched parts make a nicer blur. And we will be ordering new kits that will be as hot as the 2006s. I don't believe that you're putting a triple on your cross check, they come with triples.
